Since 1987, Hubtown Crane Service has provided crane service to Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Owned and operated by the MacDonald family, we offer licensed operators and a fleet of equipment to lift and move your heaviest loads.
Hubtown Crane Service is a Safety Certified Company. Our licensed operators and certified equipment give you the confidence of knowing that your work will be completed safely and efficiently. Whether you need to lift or transfer heavy loads, Hubtown Crane Service’s fleet of cranes (from 20 – 35 ton capacity), boom trucks (8 ton with fifth wheel to 19 ton), tractors and flat bed trailers will get the job done. We also operate excavators and loaders and a 50 ton float.
Our expertise in the business is born from generations of experience. In the 1940s, Barny MacDonald, father of current owner Ron MacDonald, operated a steam crane at the Pictou Shipyards before moving to Truro. Ron MacDonald established Hubtown Crane Service with the purchase of the 20 ton all-terrain crane from E B Hill & Son. He was quickly joined by his son Willie, his good friend Gary Huntley and, most recently, his grandson Cory, all of whom are experienced boom truck operators.
We would like to say thank you to our many loyal customers for the past 24 years and look forward to serving our old and new customers in the future.
